NABFINS launching the first Women-led Branch in Kerala on 29th May, 2023

NABFINS opened its first all-women branch at Anchalumood, Kollam district of Kerala on 29 th May 2023. With the opening of the branch under Direct Lending vertical, NABFINS LTD has expanded its business operations to its 22 nd branch in Kerala Region, catering to the needs of the under privileged and unserved sections of the society.

Dr Diwakar Hegde, Managing Director, NABFINS and Dr. B S Suran, former MD of NABFINS LTD jointly inaugurated the Women-led branch at Anchalumood formally launching the business operations of the branch. The sanction letters were also handed over to few women borrowers as part of the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr B S Suran congratulated NABFINS and stated that the Company has rightly chosen Kerala for its first all-women branch acknowledging the lofty traditions of women empowerment in Kerala.

Dr Diwakar Hegde while dedicating the operations of the Company to the ruralwomen of Kerala emphasised that the Company has always focussed on its women borrowers across the nation and that women form more than 99% of its clientele. He added that this first-of-its-kind initiative would help in furthering the cause of women empowerment and livelihood development across the rural populace and strengthen the bond of NABFINS with its women borrowers. He also shared that this venture supports the aspirations of NABFINS to become the model MFI. He also motivated the staff for ensuring quality business with the focus on serving the rural clientele.

Ms. Adeeshaya D (CIO), Shri Rajesh Krishnan (Regional Manager), Shri Ajeesh (Cluster Head), Smt. Soja (Branch Head) and representatives of Local Bodies and Community Development Society (CDS) were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
