Shri D Vijaya Kumar is a postgraduate in Agricultural Economics from University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bengaluru. He started his career with Canara Bank (Mangaluru circle) in 1984 as Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) and witnessed a long career path with the bank for over 35 years. During his tenure with the Bank since 1984, he occupied various positions viz., Manager at Hajipur, Bihar & at Circle Office, Bengaluru, branch-in charge of large and very large branches, Dy. General Manager of bank’s Mysuru circle office and in Bengaluru circle. During his leadership, the Retail Asset Hub, Basavanagudi branch accredited No.1 Hub in Bank. On his elevation to General Manager, he was heading the Bengaluru Circle of the bank, which was the biggest circle of the Bank with the business portfolio of `1.26 lakh crores. Presently he is heading the Priority Credit Wing (PC Wing) of Canara Bank at its Head Office, Bengaluru.
He has been appointed as Nominee Director representing Canara Bank on the Board of the Company with effect from September 26, 2019.
