Shri Niraj Kumar Verma has rich experience spanning more than three decades in NABARD. He has worked in various capacities in several verticals ranging from finance, institutional development, supervision to microFinance, natural resource management,infrastructure development, etc. He has also worked as District Development Manager of NABARD. He was a Faculty Member of Bankers’ Institute of Rural Development, Lucknow as well as a NABARD Staff College, Lucknow. One of the highlights of his career achievement was that he was MD & CEO of an activity-based lending Company – NABKISAN Finance Limited, a subsidiary of NABARD.

Shri Verma headed the Karnataka Regional Office of NABARD at Bengaluru. Prior to this, he was the country head of two departments of NABARD at its Head Office, Mumbai viz., Business Initiatives Department & Corporation Communication Department.

Shri Niraj Kumar Verma is a holder of a Masters’ Degree i.e., Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. His areas of interest are Finance, Rural Management & Natural Resource Management.

Presently, he is holding the position of Managing Director of NABCONS, another subsidiary of NABARD.

Shri Verma has been appointed as Nominee Director representing NABARD on the Board of the Company with effect from July 01, 2020.
